The graphic design program at Penn College focuses on career preparation and a lifetime of success in your chosen discipline. Through intensive industry-based classes and a prolific internship program, our students graduate from the program ready for what’s next. Our students are taught dedication, perseverance, and craftsmanship from the very beginning through much intensive, critique-based instruction and vigorous foundational coursework.

Careers

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design program is renowned for its consistently high overall graduate placement rate of 86%. A degree in Graphic Design creates a myriad of job opportunities after graduation. Our program equips young designers with the necessary skills to thrive and last as creatives in a diversified career landscape. The median annual salary for a graphic designer is $47,640*, with senior-level designers making considerably more.

Internships

Our internship program allows students the opportunity to work in a studio or in-house agency alongside industry professionals. In recent years our design students gained practical experience with companies such as Amtrak, Auntie Anne's, Andculture, Elisco’s Creative Café, Little League International, Mother New York, Mullen Lowe U.S., Playworld Systems Inc., and Woolrich. Internships are available for credit and may be used to satisfy one of the 3-credit Specified Graphic Design Electives.

Alumni

Some of our recent graduates are employed by such companies as Andculture, Apple, Blackboard Inc., Burson-Marsteller, Cabela’s, Chemistry, D. G. Yuengling & Son, Florida Panthers, Larson Design Group, Macmillan Publishing, National Sexual Violence Resource Center, Seedhouse, Twitter, Twoxfour, and Vera Bradley. Our Alumni stay actively involved with Penn College through events, advisory committees, social media, and employment/internship opportunities for current PCT students.
